I’m pretty sure I drafted this post three days ago, but you know, life happens! It’s been a crazy couple of weeks with finals, the kids, and the holiday craze! but I finally finished decking the halls, and will turn in my last final project this Friday! The kids will also be out for winter break on Friday, so that only means lots of family time creating holiday memories! one of my favorite things to do during the holidays is snuggling up and watching our favorite Christmas movies, although my kids and husband roll their eyes at watching the same movies over and over, they still humor me and watch them. I mean that’s the meaning of traditions right?
As I mentioned before, Christmas is the one holiday I go all out on, I love the welcoming feeling that it brings, and I like to add pops of Christmas throughout the house. I have gathered different decor throughout the years and I like to rotate them every year. As much as I love decorating, I still like to keep things simple and not have it look too cluttered.
I got these ceramic white houses from the dollar target section, and I love how they look with these white trees that I bought from Costco years ago.
I decorated the tree in our family room with blue accents to match the color scheme we already have. ( did I mention I have four trees ?) well this is tree #1!
we spend a lot of our time in the kitchen and our living room, so this is where I have my main tree,
My tree was inspired by all the buffalo check that I’ve seen around lately. Its a combination of red, white and black ornaments.
if you follow me on Instagram I shared a video while decorating my mantle. I combined two different garlands and added some holly. It was kind of a pain, because the space in our mantle isn’t very wide, so the garlands kept falling!
I love this view in our living room! This is our main tree, it was actually a new addition last year, its from the Martha Stewart line at Home Depot. I also love this new T.V. stand we recently bought at Wayfair, it was the perfect place to put our Christmas village
This is the kids tree. One of our Christmas traditions is that the kids get a special ornament each year, so once they get older and are off to college they can take their ornaments with them. ( luckily that’s not for a long time! )
This used to be our main tree, but it was falling apart after 11 years, so I brought it upstairs to our room and turned it so that you cant see the missing lights and the fallen stems.
Hope you all have a great rest of the week, thank you for stopping by and letting me share our decked out house!
